Position Summary
The Senior Consultant, Total Rewards, works directly with the Vice President, Total Rewards, and collaborates closely with leaders across the team's various subfunctions. This role will support a diverse range of strategic and operational initiatives, including executive and equity compensation, benefits and wellness strategies, sales incentive planning, broad-based compensation, and total rewards communications. The ideal candidate will help develop key enterprise deliverables—such as materials for the Talent and Compensation Committee, proxy reports, benefits planning, and incentive models—while promoting operational excellence and supporting cross-functional initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Executive Compensation & Governance:
- Partner with VP, Total Rewards to conduct analyses for long-term incentives, equity programs, and performance-based awards.
- Support the design, modeling, and administration of executive compensation programs.
- Support preparation and validation of materials for Compensation Committee and senior leadership.
- Own Total Rewards teams’ deliverables towards compliance with SEC regulations, pay-versus-performance reporting, CEO pay ratio, and related disclosures.
Benefits & Wellness Strategy, Planning & Compliance:
- Collaborate with Enterprise Benefits and Wellness leader to evaluate, design, and administer health & welfare benefits and wellness initiatives.
- Provide subject-matter expertise on leave (FMLA, ADA, disability) and employee well-being programs.
- Support annual renewals, benchmarking, cost modeling, and RFP processes.
- Support ensuring compliance with ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, IRS limits, and other regulatory requirements.
- Support governance and administration of retirement plans (401(k), deferred compensation).
- Assist with communication materials, program updates, and employee education efforts.
Sales Compensation & Incentive Design:
- Serve as a resource for sales incentive and commission plan design, modeling, optimization, and monitoring plan outcomes to ensure alignment with business performance and governance standards.
- Support Total Rewards, Sales Operations, and IT Leaders in the RFP process and implementation of a SaaS for Sales Compensation Management.
Total Rewards Integration & Operational Excellence:
- Contribute to enterprise compensation initiatives including benchmarking, job architecture updates, market pricing, and structure refresh.
- Develop and deliver leader compensation training programs.
- Own the design of system and process enhancements to drive simplification, data quality, reporting and compliance.
- Provide consultative support to HRBPs, Talent Acquisition, and business leaders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Finance, Business, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- For Consultant: 3–6 years of experience in compensation, benefits, HR analytics, or Total Rewards.
- For Senior Consultant: 7+ years of progressive experience in Total Rewards, with demonstrated depth in both compensation and benefits.
- Experience supporting proxy reporting preferred.
- Strong analytical skills, advanced Excel proficiency, and diligence.
- Proficiency in HRIS and compensation tools preferred.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to manage confidential information and interact with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Progress toward CCP, CECP, CEBS, or related certifications preferred.

Pay Rate: $133,000 - $158,000 Salary
Final pay rate is dependent on experience, training, education, and location.
