Job Summary

    The Senior Paralegal provides litigation support, including assistance with discovery, legal holds, and court filings, as well as other related tasks and deliverables.

    Job Responsibilities

    Litigation Paralegal Support: Provide paralegal support to litigation attorneys on a variety of litigation matters, including drafting and preparing early case assessments, reviewing and propounding discovery, conducting legal research, creating timelines, reviewing and preparing exhibits and briefs, building and analyzing reports required for cases, and interacting with outside counsel.

     

    Managing e-Discovery System: Manage AMN’s eDiscovery platform to process discovery, issue and draft litigation holds, and review internal documents for early case assessment.  

     

    Manage Matter Management and Electronic Billing System: Manage the electronic billing system used for outside counsel spend and manage the litigation matter management system.

     

    Administrative Support / Subpoenas: Occasionally provide administrative support or process subpoenas and requests for employment records when coverage is limited due to staffing shortages, unusually high workload, or team members being on PTO.

    Qualifications

      Education & Years of Experience

      • Paralegal certificate or Bachelor degree or equivalent experience

      Minimum Experience:

      • 5+ years of experience as a litigation paralegal at a law firm or corporate legal department

      • 2+ years of experience providing litigation paralegal support for litigations involving California wage & hour law

      • 2+ years of experience providing litigation paralegal support on class or representative actions

      Preferred Experience

      • Experience providing paralegal support for California wage & hour class and PAGA actions

      • Experience managing and working in litigation management systems

      Work Environment / Physical Requirements

      • Work is performed in an office/home office environment.

      • Team Members must have the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards.

        Pay Rate: $39.50 - $46.75 Hourly

        Final pay rate is dependent on experience, training, education, and location.
