Job Summary
Job Summary
The Recruiter, Locum Tenens, is responsible for driving the full‑cycle recruitment of physicians and advanced practice providers for short‑term and ongoing assignments nationwide. This role is highly consultative and fast‑paced, blending recruiting, sales, and relationship management to source, engage, qualify, and submit high‑quality clinicians to meet urgent client needs.
The ideal candidate is motivated by results, thrives in a metrics‑driven environment, and excels at building relationships, closing candidates, and managing multiple searches simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the front end of the recruiting lifecycle, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and presenting locum tenens providers for open and pipeline opportunities.
- Build and maintain a robust pipeline of active and passive providers across multiple specialties using outbound sourcing strategies such as cold calling, digital outreach, networking, referrals, and social platforms.
- Partner closely with Account Managers, Recruitment Leaders, and Clinical Operations to meet time‑sensitive staffing demands and ensure on‑time provider starts.
- Conduct high‑volume outreach and engagement while maintaining quality, compliance, and provider experience.
- Manage multiple requisitions concurrently, prioritizing based on urgency, client need, and provider availability.
- Effectively sell locum tenens opportunities by understanding provider motivations, availability, compensation expectations, and career goals.
- Track provider activity, submissions, and pipeline status in the ATS/CRM and communicate updates to internal stakeholders consistently.
- Meet or exceed established recruiting activity and placement metrics while maintaining compliance standards.
- Stay current on applicable recruiting laws, credentialing requirements, and compliance guidelines.
- Build long‑term relationships with providers through consistent follow‑up, referrals, and redeployment opportunities.
- Support special projects and initiatives as assigned.

Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Associate’s Degree with 1–2 years of experience in retail sales or customer service sales or healthcare staffing.
- High School Diploma/GED with 2–4 years of equivalent experience in healthcare staffing, recruiting, or sales experience.
Preferred Experience
- Locum tenens recruiting or physician staffing experience
- Healthcare staffing, recruiting, or sales experience
- Experience working in a metrics‑driven or quota‑based environment
- Proven ability to build relationships with clinicians, hiring managers, and internal partners
- Experience handling confidential and sensitive information with discretion
Work Environment / Physical Requirements
- Work is performed in an office/home office environment.
- Team Members must have the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards.

Pay Rate: $19.50 - $24.25 Hourly
Final pay rate is dependent on experience, training, education, and location.
