AMN is a tech-centric total talent solution company seeking a Solution Architect. The Solutions Architect will set technical direction with the overall Product and Technology strategy, identify business domains, settle system thresholds and tolerances, and provide technical leadership to the engineering teams.

To be successful in this role, you should be able to identify and negotiate system needs and work with multi-functional members to define & prioritize the scope of solutions that meet market needs.

Ultimately, you’ll help us roll out high-impact products that deliver significant customer value in line with our company’s vision.

Job Tasks: 

  • Work with customers, business, and engineering departments to translate business objectives into system requirements and define a product-wide technology approach encompassing multiple systems and various integration points.
  • Provide technical advisory services from design, development, and DevOps for implementations with multiple integrations and software platforms to engineering, product, and customer-facing teams.
  • Draft technical engineering plans, technical designs, and systems integration-related documents and work you're doing. 
  • Facilitate estimate time frames, quality, and quantity of resources required to implement technology projects efficiently. 
  • Qualify, scope, and deliver new technical projects for expansion and upsells for existing customers. 
  • Work closely with the Product team to continuously relay feedback for improvement on platform features and functions and ensure sustained customer success.
  • Ensure compliance with the solution architectural design and technology strategy.
  • Educate, train, and mentor the best and most effective practices and standards experts.
  • Explain technical issues and engineering solution strategies to collaborators, executives, and other technical specialists.
  • Ensure that platform architecture aligns with business goals.
  • Review the vendors' and suppliers' proposals to ensure the lowest total cost of ownership.
  • Identify and mitigate existing business risks or risks associated with the specified platform architecture.
  • Provide advice and decide which technologies would be suitable for use across the business/customer base.
  • Collaborate with project managers and other staff members to develop budgets and timelines for solutions.
  • Set sprint goals and define sprint backlogs with the engineering squad.
  • Plan sprint striping and feature release breakthroughs working with Program & Product Management.
  • Follow the progress of work and address detail/information issues during sprints.

Skills

  • Able to Interpret functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Expert in keeping track of industry trends and standard methodologies.
  • Proven experience in owning large software systems that can break them down into manageable pieces to facilitate concurrent delivery.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.

Minimum Education/Certifications: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree, Master's degree, or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Engineering, or a relevant field.

Key Requirement:

  • 10 years of direct full-stack engineering with growing complexity or 5 years in a principal engineer capacity.
  • 5 years of software/platform architecture experience with Azure (Azure development, configuration, and deployment).
  • System integration experience, including design and development of APIs and microservices.
  • Sophisticated C#.Net, VB.Net, and Rest APIs in Azure Cloud Environment.
  • Experience with infrastructure as code technologies, preferably Terraform, Ansible, ARM Templates, or Bicep.
  • Experience crafting and maintaining Continuous Integration Automation with platforms such as Azure DevOps.
  • Experience with containerization technologies (Docker) and AWS ECS, Azure AKS.
  • Hands-on experience designing systems that use modern distributed Software Architecture Patterns (e.g., CQRS/Event Sourcing, Streaming, Microservices, Service Bus, Service Mesh).
  • Experience with application integration, enhancing APIs and other integration methods, including API architectures and solutions in a distributed manner.
  • Ability to dig into business requirements or reverse engineer existing systems to deliver Domain/Event Driven module designs for SaaS applications.
  • Direct hands-on experience in enterprise design, application development, process engineering, and project management using Scrum rituals.

Pay Rate: $153,500 - $182,500 Salary

Final pay rate is dependent on experience, training, education, and location.
