As an experienced member of our Data Engineering and Analytics Group, we look first and foremost for people who are passionate about and around solving business problems through innovation and imaginative engineering practices. Working across engineering and product domains, the Senior Data Engineer will help support drive and define best practices for delivering tools and infrastructure to support a roadmap designed to evolve and execute on AMN’s Data Transformation.
In this position, you would architect, develop, and implement database applications, ODS and Data Warehouse structures/schemas, and data flow pipelines. In those pipelines, you would be responsible for managing, analyzing, and transforming data throughout AMN’s OLTP, OLAP, and Big Data systems. Lastly, you would meet with business colleagues and analysts to help gather/understand requirements and transform them into technical outputs and delivery.
Job Tasks:
- Align data architecture and data sets with encouraged business outcomes.
- Prepare data for predictive/prescriptive modeling. Data preparation will be reviewed with members of the IT Data Management team and Data Scientists for accuracy and completeness.
- Writing and maintaining integrations to bring various data sources together into a performant, accessible, secure data warehouse/ODS/OLAP Data Store.
- Assist with data integration and conversion projects.
- Help streamline Data Acquisitions. The Data Acquisition team will help ensure that data feeds/conversions developed by Data Engineer are accurate and perform well.
- Syncing data between various systems to ensure consistency, integrity, and reliable insights capturing from multiple tools.
- Architect/Develop/Test/Implement/Maintain database architecture, datasets, data flows, and pipelines.
- Help deliver business insights and analytics updates to both internal and external customers.
- Help stay current with technology trends and Provide input on additional tooling to increase reliability and speed of data analysis and suggest improvements to existing data management processes.
Minimum Education/Certifications:
- Bachelors in Computer Science/MIS or equivalent Job Experience.
Preferred Education/Certifications:
- Bachelors in Computer Science/MIS or equivalent Job Experience.
Minimum Experience:
- 2 – 5 years in Business Intelligence and Data Engineering.
- Must have Data Architecture and Modeling experience.
- Experience in Azure Data Factory, ETL, ELT, T-SQL
Preferred Experience
- 5 years
- Highly recommend having experience in BI tool: Sisense, Power BI.
- Experience in Snowflakes is good to have.

Pay Rate: $133,500 - $158,500 Salary
Final pay rate is dependent on experience, training, education, and location.
