Manager, Legal Compliance & Regulatory

As part of the Legal & Compliance Department, the Manager of Legal Compliance & Regulatory Services provides leadership for and manages various compliance and regulatory functions, including but not limited to credentialing file compliance, supplier partner compliance, regulatory services, data management, program process improvement and risk assessment.  The Manager will ensure the program fulfills its role within and is effectively integrated with the enterprise corporate compliance program. The Manager directly and indirectly oversees a team consisting of Compliance Auditors, one Compliance Audit Supervisor, one Compliance Supervisor, one Research Supervisor and regulatory researchers. Together the programs provide routine oversight, monitoring and auditing of internal business functions, as well as externally delegated functions to ensure compliance with State, Federal and Certification/Accreditation standards.  

Job Tasks: 

  • Day to day oversight of credentialing compliance audit program.  
  • Responsible for ensuring audit methodology and process results in accurate and precise auditing.
  • Communicate regulatory agencies and government officials with respect to inquiries, audits and investigations.
  • Navigate applicable government operations / agencies.
  • Oversight of Supplier Partner compliance profiles and investigations.
  • Lead program representative in enterprise credentialing and compliance automation processes and exploration activities.
  • Accountable for annual efficiency targets
  • Lead external certification activities for CRS such as JC & NCQA survey process.
  • Ensure program documentation of processes, policies, standard operating procedures and training materials are current.
  • Identify and direct development of new policies and procedures in response to risk, program adjustments, and enterprise expansion.
  • Guide CRS program design to prevent issues through proactive processes and precipitating factors analysis. 
  • Manage escalations and investigate identified issues.
  • Responsible for data analysis oversight and metrics reporting.
  • Proactively engage with internal functional teams and customers as required to ensure successful completion of compliance initiatives.
  • Demonstrate ability to manage complex issues while maintaining a flexible positive, cooperative and agile manner.
  • Ongoing risk-based audit methodology and risk assessment
  • Oversight of regulatory research and Regulatory Committee operations 
  • Demonstrate metrics driven approach to measuring success of compliance projects with strong analytical and regulatory background.

Minimum Education/Certifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare administration healthcare, compliance, law or public administration

Minimum Experience: 

  • 4+ years of direct managerial / leadership
  • 4+ years of Regulatory, Compliance and Audit
  • 2+ years data management and analysis

Preferred Experience and Education: 

  • Regulatory agency   
  • Investigative experience
  • 1+ Corporate Compliance Program
  • Preferred Education/Certifications:
  • Masters Level education in related field of expertise
  • Compliance Certification

Pay Rate: $92,500 - $110,000 Salary

Final pay rate is dependent on experience, training, education, and location.
