Job Summary

    The Corporate Accounting Lead contributes to a team of Staff Accountants who, produce monthly, quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Develops department initiatives and goals consistent with the current strategic and operational objectives of the Company.
    • Continually evaluates the needs of the department related to workforce planning, technology, or process optimization.
    • Develops and promotes communications and relationships with all departments.
    • Prepares educational reconciliations and supporting schedules for balance sheet accounts, including support for all estimates used and ensures reconciliations are completed in accordance with the monthly closing schedule.
    • Produces or performs reviews of financial statements, trial balances, and other reports, as vital, on a monthly basis; analyzing variances/fluctuations against historical performances.
    • Develops, evaluates, and implements policies and procedures based on the assessment of the current business environment, and feedback from team and management to continually deliver quality products in an efficient manner and ensure safeguards or compliance.
    • Promotes a positive team environment with increased employee engagement; hiring/mentoring/developing team members, providing feedback on individual work performance, and prioritizing as needed.

    Qualifications

      Education & Years of Experience

      • Bachelor's Degree plus 5-7 years of work experience OR High School Diploma/GED plus 9-11 years of work experience

      Certifications

      • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) | Preferred

      Additional Experience

      • Experience with accounting software and data entry
      • Advanced level skills in Excel

      Work Environment / Physical Requirements

      • Work is performed in an office/home office environment.
      • Team Members must have the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards.

        Pay Rate: $83,500 - $99,000 Salary

        Final pay rate is dependent on experience, training, education, and location.
