Job Summary
The Specialist I, Clinical Operations supports Clinical Services by managing the reviews of Healthcare Professional (HP) profiles, including certain applications, disciplinary issues, ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) accommodations, references, or evaluations. This role will be responsible for processes to ensure file compliance to expedite facility client review and placement, ultimately growing revenue and customer satisfaction while reducing risk and liability.
Job Responsibilities
- Maintains accuracy and quality throughout all assigned duties.
- Identifies process improvement opportunities by evaluating processes and guidelines to propose helpful solutions that increase volume, turnaround time, and/or accuracy.
- Evaluates Healthcare Professional (HP) work history dates, sites, and settings to identify gaps in accuracy and eligibility to request vital information and to assign appropriate skills on new applications and reapplications.
- Review convictions, license disciplinary actions, references, Professional Liability Insurance (PLI) history, and other derogatory information to determine whether to decide on continued eligibility or to escalate to appropriate internal decision-makers.
- Reviews and approves Education waivers or exceptions as necessary.
- Ensures that processes and documentation meet all required compliance standards regarding risk review.
- Supports in the facilitation of performance evaluations and internal reviews.
- Manages the communication for human resource-related supplier worker issues.
- Handles additional administrative needs to support the Clinical department when requested.
- Inspects documents for legitimacy, ensuring any/all questionable documents are reviewed by department management or appropriate resources.
- Generates and runs reports for the Clinical Services Department.
- Applies expertise to support updates to Policy and Procedures, Job Aids, and other training.
Qualifications
Education & Years of Experience
- High School Diploma/GED plus 2-5 years of work experience
Additional Experience
- Customer service or data entry experience
- Work experience in a corporate setting
- Experience in general business
- Experience in healthcare compliance | Require
Work Environment / Physical Requirements
- Work is performed in an office/home office environment.
- Team Members must have the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards.

Pay Rate: $21.00 - $24.75 Hourly
Final pay rate is dependent on experience, training, education, and location.
